3 things about Coda that still bug me. E-mail
Thursday, 10 January 2008
I’ve already addressed my issues with Coda in a previous post , but as you adapt, issues come and go. Here’s what’s currently bugging me:

1. “Untitled.html” always being there when I don’t have an existing file open is just a nuisance. If I want to create a new file, I’ll create one.

2. I want Coda to always default to the local file listing for a site when I open the site  (i.e., let me choose the default behavior) . Even if I happen to be working the remote side, close the program, then re-open it, I’m almost always going to want to work from local >> remote, and a few times I’ve started working on a remote file before realizing what I was doing. Messes up my workflow, dammit!

3. Just because I had 10 files open for a site the when I last worked on that site doesn’t mean I want those 10 files open the next time. Give me an option to turn that off.
